Dragon Ball Z TCG Prize Pack Preview 1 & Rules Set

November 23, 2015 By Rodney Henry

Before we get into our first previews I wanted to let everyone in on the rules for this massive prize event.

Starting Dec 27th and for the following 6 Sundays we will be hosting Make-A-Wish qualifying events @ Go 4 Games 4:00pm

That means Dec 27th, Jan 3rd, Jan 10th, Jan 17th, Jan 24rd, Jan 31st, and Feb 7th.

Entry Fee: $5

Final Invite Only Event Feb 21st

Entry Fee:$5

All Entry Fees are going to go toward the Final Prize Pool

Each Sunday the top player will win the right to control a specific Dragon Ball in the final event.

Each player may only win control of one Dragon Ball for the final event.

Also you will also be registered in the Final Tournament as Piloting the Specific Character that you won with.

(So if you win with Piccolo you must play a variation of Piccolo in the final Event. It does not have to be the same style you won with or version of Piccolo.)

In the Event  you get repeated top rankings the next highest ranked player will be grandfathered into the Final Tournament.

For participating in each event players will earn 5 participation points.

For each win a player receives they will also earn an additional 1 participation point.

In order to keep your rights to the Final Event you must end the tournament series with a minimum of 30 participation points.

In the event that a qualified player does not have the required participation their Invite will be given to the next Highest Ranked Player based on this point system.

Example: John Doe went to all 7 Qualifiers and won only 4 games total. He would have 39 Participation Points. Sue won the first event, but only went on to play in 2 other events. She also Won 12 games. She has 17. Because she did not participate enough her spot would be given to the next qualifying player. In this case John would qualify for the Finals and Sue would lose her spot.

This point system not only qualifies you for the finals, but also gives you a ranking in the final event. The highest ranked players will be paired up in the first round of the finals.

In the Final Tournament players will be assigned the physical Dragon Balls that they won.

When a player loses a round they will surrender all the Dragon Balls in their possession to the victor.

Players will play best of 3 matches.

After 3 rounds only one player will control all 7 Dragon Balls and be 1st place in the Tournament.

The other players will be ranked using normal strength of schedule rules.

1st Place Will Receive 1 Booster box (Current Set), All 7 Crystal Dragon Balls, and their Choice of one of 8 Character Prize Kits

2nd Place Will receive 10 Packs and their Choice of one of the Remaining Character Kits

3rd Place 6 Packs Choice of Character Kit

4th Place 4 Packs Choice of Character Kit

5-8th Place 1 Pack Remaining Character kits by rank

If you have any specific Questions about this Event Feel Free to contact me on Facebook or by Email at rodneyhenry88@gmail.com

shenron_by_faye_craddock

For a while now our Dragon Ball Z TCG group has slowly been growing. Since the beginning we have had a nice hand full of loyal players showing up every Sunday to throw down with other DBZ Fans. With this in mind, I have been planning an event to give back to our local players.

Starting December 27th 2015 @ 4 PM we will be hosting the

Dragon Ball Z TCG Make-a-Wish Tournament Series.

This will be the first of 8 events where the first 7 Qualify you for a spot in the Final Invite Only Event.

Players will use all of their strength to try and become the top player at each event.

At each event, players will be fighting to obtain one of the 7 Dragon Balls.

Players can also qualify by participating in as many of the 7 events as possible.

The player with the most participation combined with victory points will qualify for the 8th spot in the final invite only event.

(You must also Participate in a Minimum of 4 Events or You lose your Qualifying Spot to the next Highest Rank Player)

So now you may be asking yourself, ” What is going to happen in the final event?”

Players have casted there vote for the top 8 characters they liked from the Android Saga.

8 Prize Packages Will be Created representing Different Characters From the DBZ Universe.

1st in the final event will get First Dibs on which prize package they want to own as well as a booster box prize for placing 1st.

This is a Player Appreciation Event, so everyone who qualifies will walk away with Unique character packages.

In the coming weeks I will be previewing the Prizes here @ go4gamesnola.com

Next week we will Preview the Goku and Vegeta Prize Kits.

In the mean time here is a hint of which characters will be represented in the prize packs.
