Captain’s Log, stardate 3147.3.
We are preparing to answer a distress call from a merchant vessel three light-years off our present course. Her engines have failed, and we will render what assistance we can.
Earlier today we completed long-range scans of System 3728-B6. The system contains an M-class planet—unpopulated, with no detectable signs of technological civilization or hazardous spatial phenomena. In order to press on with our primary directive of charting this sub-sector, I have conferred with the science officer. We will dispatch a shuttle crewed by junior officers to conduct a detailed biodiversity survey and begin a preliminary colonization suitability report.
The Executive Officer has been instructed to assemble the roster. The away team will depart within the hour.
Attached are a brief introduction to your storyteller, Marc, as well as a quick rundown of character creation.
